our philosophy
My family and I adore the Burmese kittens, and we work together to train and socialize them. Raising them in our home and as a team provides us with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for companionship that benefits both of us (man and pet), such as patience and loyalty. In our Burmese cats for sale , we are dedicated to providing you with the most beautiful companion.

We have gone to great lengths to ensure they have the best possible start with their new families, feeding them properly and providing care that is second to none. They were home bred with our children and other pets, house broken and socialized. We assure you that you have found the most lovable companion for yourself and your family with us.
We are very concerned about the type of homes our Burmese kittens for sale will be placed in because they are our primary concern. Breeding these amazing Burmese cats isn't just for profit, as we refuse to sell our Burmese kittens to middlemen (brokers) or inexperienced or want to be breeders. Our kittens are meant to go to wonderful families who are willing to share their homes and hearts with our babies, and we love reading the testimonials of happy customers. Knowing that our Burmese cats met or exceeded their expectations is ecstatic, a feeling we can only describe as fulfillment, as client satisfaction is second only to breeding healthy kittens on our priority list.
My wife brought home a cute kitten a few years ago, which sparked our interest in Burmese kittens. We gave him the name Alex. Alex taught me everything a Burmese cat should be: outgoing, enthusiastic, eager, and always in the moment, but most importantly, loving and loyal.

BURMESE CATS ORIGIN & GROOMING
Dr. Joseph C. Thompson brought a cat named Wong Mau from Burma to the United States in 1930. This cat was a deep brown color, and many fans assumed she was a very dark Siamese. Dr. Thompson disagreed, and he and other like-minded breeders decided to breed Wong Mau in order to determine what breed she was. Wong Mau was the forefather of the Burmese breed.
Dr. Thompson's theory seemed to be supported by Wong Mau's kittens. When she was bred to a Siamese, the kittens appeared to be Burmese/Siamese hybrids as well as pure Siamese. When the Burmese/Siamese hybrids were bred, they produced the deep, dark Burmese kittens. The darker-colored Burmese cats then bred true, proving that Wong Mau was, in fact, a Siamese-Siamese hybrid with a dark-colored unknown cat.
Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this breed, hybrids began to appear in the show ring instead of pure Burmese in 1947. The showing of hybrids was a violation of the Cat Fanciers' Association's show rules, and recognition of the Burmese was withdrawn as a result. The Burmese Cat Society of America assured the registries that it would not happen again until 1953.

GROOMING
The Burmese's satiny coat sheds little and is easy to groom with weekly brushing. To make the coat shine, use a rubber curry brush to remove loose hair and distribute skin oils. Finally, polish it with a soft chamois (not the same one you use on your car, please).
The only other grooming the Burmese requires is weekly nail trimming and ear cleaning if the ears appear dirty. Use a gentle cleanser that your veterinarian has recommended.
Brush your pet's teeth on a regular basis using a vet-approved pet toothpaste for good general health and fresh breath. Brushing, nail clipping, and teeth brushing should begin early in order for your kitty to tolerate these procedures.

PERSONALITY
Younger Burmese are lively, curious cats who adapt quickly to new situations. However, as they grow older, some Burmese might become a little too calm, preferring to observe rather than participate in activities.
At any age, kids like looking out the window at the world around them, and their favorite spot is typically a window where they can see the world outside. Burmese cats get along well with other Burmese, but they may not get along with other breeds.

ALERT !!!
Quality-bred TICA/WCF BURMESE are not cheap. If you see lykoi being listed for what seems like a “bargain price” then it is likely a scam.
If a breeder does not post a contact phone number, email address and owner names on their web site, stay away from them.
The so-called “cheap” B RURMESE cat is a myth. If a breeder is asking a price that just seems “too good to believe,” then don’t believe it! You get what you pay or… and that is a very sick kitten or no kitten at all.

TESTIMONIAL REVIEWS
Bottom line - it's scary purchasing a BURMESE from a person you may never officially meet. On this page, you will find references from past owners and even some from new owners. Hopefully, this will put your mind at comfort as you continue joining the "BURMESE-CATTERY" family.
